Scrum is a widely applicable framework. Many product environments are well-served with Scrum. But it is not a cure-all. Scrum isn’t suited for every environment. Also, there are limits to what a team can do in an environment that doesn’t accept the consequences of adopting Scrum.
Scrum doesn’t always work. When it doesn’t fit (and will not fit), a Scrum Master should have the courage to help the team to move away from Scrum. Ultimately, it is about achieving your objectives. Not about the means to achieve your objective.
Creating value should be leading, not implementing Scrum. Or any other approach (insert your favourite approach here).
