I fully agree that there are many benefits to releasing your increment. I also firmly believe that a team should strive to extend the DoD ll the way to getting it on production.

That said: there are environments where you can’t do this. Suppose you are building a totally new product and you will have nothing really valuable to release until you reach a certain point (MVP), even for your early adopters.
